I marched in solidarity with unions from all over L.A. that were protesting the attacks on unions over in Wisconsin. If it happened there then it can happen anywhere. It was exciting to see bus loads of people arrive ready to march with flags and signs in hand. During the march, I walked with the car wash workers trying to unionize themselves here in L.A.

I like Elon. He breaks down a lot of important information while cracking jokes in between and that's good. For one, when used correctly, comedy can de-intensify situations that could get out of control, but of course there's a time and place for everything. With that being said, I'm passing on some know your rights info by the American Civil Liberties Union. It's basic stuff anyone should know and people of color/minorities should have memorized because let's face it folks, driving/walking while looking different from everyone else is "justifiable cause" for any authoritative figure to stop and question you. So don't get caught slippen' next time it happens. You can be like "fuck yo couch officer." Not really though, don't ever say that to a cop unless they're a stripper. And this is by no means legal advice, just info to share with folks.

I know the pace of post has slowed down considerably, but in the off time that I've been having from sharing everything online, I'm beginning to actively filter the things that will be shared and posted on this site. It's just a matter of copy right issues and outsiders pilfering my ideas as their own. As sad as it is to say sometimes, we gotta protect our creative ideas before someone else takes them and runs wild with them, leaving you in the dust.
Aside from that, life is as usual. Doing the school and activism thing like always. Going on way more group bike rides, which I'll be posting info about here and sharing, but I think more than anything I've been making new and deeper friendships with people. talking over dinner always brings up interesting topics that last till 2 in the morn. Drama still happens in my life and you can be sure I'll be sharing it with ya'll, but just in a more refined fashion.

Hey, boy howdy. I haven't been online updating things as much as I would like to, but I'm beginning to see it as a good thing. That way I don't put too much info out here, you know what I mean ? Any who, check out the pics from the L.A. to O.C. Dream Ride. The ride went off without a hitch, everything and everyone that helped make it happened came through with solid colors. I can't thank them enough for all the support and help we had the days leading up to it and the day of.
It was definitely one of those experiences that all the riders and volunteers will remember for years to come. It also helped us connect biking with other social justice issues, which at the end of the day are all connected one way or another. The bike ride is going to become an annual event given the great response and support we got. Next years ride will definitely be better in terms of fund raising efforts, having more riders join us and in advocating for the Dream Act.
